Stopped for a night on route to the Hebrides, a wonderful dog friendly pub. Great service and location, the room felt incredibly clean and tastefully decorated, as did the restaurant/bar area. After staying in numerous “dog friendly” hotels and pubs, who allow a dog in the room, but not in the bar or restaurant, it was refreshing to stay somewhere so accommodating and easy, where having a dog with you was no issue at all. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
We had our book club Christmas dinner at the Cardross Inn and the food was excellent.I had the turkey for main course and it was one of the best turkey dinners I have ever had. The service was very good too.
Lovely comfortable inn. Delicious food , (However suggestion for future menu, more vegan options please.) Absolutely huge breakfast . Will be back.

Just a small pub with a handful of rooms upstairs, but it was one of the best nights we had in Scotland. Good restaurant. Great big room with a big bed and a big ensuite. Friendly service. A real find!
10/10 food! Best food we’ve had in Scotland by far. We were a group of 4 and came in for dinner and couldn’t fault a single thing we came back the next night! Across the nights we had chicken wings, chicken & bacon pie, steak & ale pie, lasagne (phenomenal), salmon tacos and the burger. Service was kind & attentive. Very affordable as well. We’d travel back from Australia to Scotland just to have dinner here again!
Exceptional food and dining experience, a table for 5 which was looked after very well by the staff. first class service and very friendly in a terrific old kitchen style restaurant
We visited for Sunday lunch, and my wife and I both had roast beef. The meal was really nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely return in the future. The only small point was that it was served on a cold plate and only a small tweak required to make it perfect.
